Starflower Oil (Omega-6)

This formulation contains an effective combination of two nutrients that may optimise brain and nervous function. Starflower oil provides a natural source of omega-6 EFA’s, particularly gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). A dietary source of GLA may be beneficial to maintain healthy hormonal balance, joints, skin and vision, and to support cardiac, immune, nervous and reproductive function. Lecithin provides the essential lipids phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylinositol, both are integral structural components of all cell membranes. They work synergistically together to support cardiac and nervous function, and may maintain a healthy cholesterol profile. Phosphatidylcholine is the body’s foremost biochemical reservoir of choline, which is an integral component of acetylcholine, a brain neurotransmitter, which is essential for proper nerve impulse transmission and brain function. Phosphatidylinositol is especially abundant in brain tissue, where it can amount to 10% of the phospholipids. The formulation is powderised for maximum bio-absorption.
