"The BT7, allows for 6 user-selectable output modes that research shows has varying effects. Requests from satisfied users poured in asking to have the option whereby these alternative modes could be incorporated into the Bio-Tuner, and be user- selectable. In all modes, the base frequency of 1,000 Hz pulse-modulated by 111.11 Hz is present. This is the "magic frequency" that was found to work where other's failed. This ensures the user will indeed get the expected benefits of the Bio-Tuner, regardless of which mode is selected. The modes can also be looked at as "comfort settings". Other Functions

20 Minute Timer Elapsed: After 20 minutes have elapsed, the output is disabled, and the unit goes into standby mode.

LOW Battery Warning: Red Light will come ON to indicate battery will soon need replacing.

Headset and Output Signal Electrical Circuit Verification Indicator: Yellow Light will only come ON when the electrical path through the Headset is complete and functioning correctly.

What is "The Bio-Tuner"?

A unit similar to The Bio-Tuner was featured in OMNI Magazine, Volume 5, Number 4, January 1983. Article was written by Kathleen McAuliffe. Title of the article is "The Black Box - Secret ... Treatment of Rock Superstars".

The Bio-Tuner is an electronic relaxation system. Micro-current energy pulses appear to have a profound balancing effect on the individual and tend to produce a state of over-all relaxation and well being. The Bio-Tuner outputs a modified rectilinear waveform with over 500 frequencies in each pulse.

The Bio-Tuner has been a leader in electronic relaxation systems since 1983.

The BT7 Bio-Tuner is our upgraded version of the BT6 and includes a digitally-controlled 20 minute automatic shut-off timer, 6 different Mode selections, a Headset monitor light, and a Low Battery warning light. The BT7 is microchip controlled and includes a quartz crystal timer to ensure stable and precise frequencies.

Unit is covered by a 3 year warranty on internal mounted components.

The BT7 is very lightweight (a few ounces) and operates from a standard 9-Volt Alkaline battery.

The Unit:

The BT7 is housed in an attractive custom plastic enclosure, with a built-in compartment for the 9 Volt battery. A slide-off lid allows you to change the battery easily. A Thumbwheel Switch Control Knob turns The BT7 on and off and varies the intensity of the output. The Green LED light indicates the output Mode. When the Headset is functioning correctly, the Yellow light will come ON. The Red LED light is a low battery warning light. When this Red light goes on, it's time to get a fresh battery.

The Headset simply plugs into the output jack on the end panel of the BT7.

Electrical Specifications:

Maximum <1.5mA Peak ~40 Volts Peak-Peak into typical 4k ohm load. Minimum <~10 microamperes, 10 Volt Peak-Peak at lowest setting. Output impedance ~20k ohm.

Modified rectilinear wave with rapid rise time (under 1uS). There are over 500 harmonic frequencies delivered in each pulse as observed on a frequency domain (not time domain) spectrum analyzer.

Base waveform (Mode 1) 1,000 Hz Square wave (+/- 1%) pulse-modulated by 111.11 Hz (+/- 1%) Square wave. Waveforms are Microchip Quartz Crystal-Controlled for precise frequency output. There are 6 user-selectable output Modes.

9-Volt DC Alkaline Battery operation, useful to end voltage ~5.2 Volts. Battery drain: minimum ~9mA @ 9 Volts to maximum of 30mA with output fully loaded.

Auto-shutoff time of 20 minutes. Controlled digitally.

Pulses are Bi-Phasic (AC) with no DC or offset bias. Output is transformer coupled so that no direct current can appear at electrodes. The algebraic sum of positive and negative-going pulses is zero. FAQ

Q. How often can I use the Bio-Tuner and for how long?

A. It is recommended the units be used once a day for 20 to 30 minutes for 30 consecutive days. Don't exceed 40 minutes per day and don't exceed 30 days at a time.

Q. How accurate should the placement of the electrodes be?

A. Effectiveness will still be maintained between a 1/2 and 3/4 of an inch because the current is diffused.

Q. Do I have to worry about magnification like the Silver Pulser?

A. No.

Q. Can I use it with other units?

A. Yes.

Q. I can feel it on one side more than the other and sometimes I can't feel one side at all?

A. Most people do feel the stimulus on one side more than the other. This is normal.

Q. After a while, I don't feel it as much?

A. You build up a tolerance so it is necessary to turn it higher.

Q. It stings when I turn the unit on?

A. The sensation should not be unpleasant. The natural oil on your skin will react with the current to produce a stinging sensation. Clean the area, possibly with a swab of alcohol. Also ensure there is sufficient conductive gel on the electrodes.
