Microace - How it works

Microcurrent stimulation to the body causes radically increased production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate are molecules that store and work as distribution vehicles for energy in the body.) levels. This allows the body to perform whatever healing process it has undertaken in an accelerated fashion. It may even allow one to get over the proverbial "hump" that was unachievable, due to insufficient ATP concentrations to perform the changes needed.

ATP is the dynamic reservoir of energy in our body. Glucose serves as a more long-term reservoir but in itself does relatively little to fuel the body. Glucose is first converted to ATP. ATP is the storage and distribution vehicle for energy. From the moment an ATP molecule is produced, it is typically consumed within one minute.

The turnover rate for ATP is very high. However, the body does have a vast capacity to store ATP. One can build ATP reserves. This is one reason that, unlike other forms of electric therapy such as interferential, or higher amperage TENS and galvanic, microcurrent stands unique in that it has a cumulative effect, rather than a diminishing effect. Other electric stimulation devices decrease ATP levels. Moreover, these devices cannot even be thought of in the realms of ATP generation. It has been shown that any stimulation over 1,000 microamps causes plateauing and then reduction in ATP.

Microace for pain reliefMicrocurrent therapy, which is used from one to usually 600 uA clinically, is the modality of choice for increased tissue healing. Research and clinical trials have shown that with microcurrent stimulation, there is a 40-50% reduction in healing time of ulcers and sprain/strains; fractures heal faster and stronger; and that even bad scarring (keloid scars) remodel to become a healthier, stronger scar. Other ATP related microcurrent stimulatory effects include decreased inflammation, edema and swelling, and increased physical endurance in sports.

Revive injured and damaged cells

The MicroAce Programme™ comes with an instruction manual, a video and the MicroAce ™ , a medical device which is a portable microcurrent stimulator. The MicroAce ™ uses three different modes of electrical frequency to penetrate the target area and make it easier for nutrients and oxygen to reach and revive injured or damaged cells. This helps clear away the toxins that can cause pain inflammation and pain and ‘jump starts' the body's natural healing processes.

Obviously this doesn't happen instantly, there is no such thing as a miracle cure for arthritis sufferers.

For The MicroAce Programme ™ to be effective, you must follow the treatment, using the programme at least once a day for up to eight weeks (depending on individual factors, such as your age and the severity of your condition).

However, once this initial period is over, you should expect a considerable reduction in pain, an overall increase in the quality of your life, and you can then decrease the treatment or just use it when the pain reoccurs.

Simple to Use

The MicroAce Programme™ is simple and painless. The MicroAce ™ is battery operated, the frequency is automatic, and there are no complex knobs and wiring. Its three pre-programmed settings work through small electrode pads place on the affected area. Typical treatment time is just half an hour a day.

MicroAce ™ therapy is NHS approved (although it is not available on prescription) and carries the CE Safety Mark and the approval of the Medical Device Directive of Europe.

Unlike TENS machines, which block the pathway of pain and become less effective over time, The MicroAce Progr a mme™ acts positively to regenerate damaged tissue**.

We cannot claim that MicroAce ™ can cure arthritis, but, if you are prepared to persevere with the programme, it is very likely that it will ease your suffering and allow you to get on with your life.
